Elliot Michael Tucker
Hello there! My name’s Elliot. I’m a builder and philosopher. I’ve been designing, crafting, and building my whole life. At a young age I actively absorbed as many building skills as I could (woodworking, puppet building, painting, sculpting, soldering). From craft projects I moved to home remodeling, renovating bathrooms, kitchens, and full houses. Under the guidance and tutelage of licensed California contractors, I have honed my craft and now consider myself to be an exceptionally hard worker with precision accuracy and creativity. Graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Ethics, I became interested in the environmentally conscious side of building. I prefer to reuse when I can, and think that building materials made from recycled products, in addition to being positive for the planet, are beautiful. I am always striving to use products that are non-toxic, from formaldehyde free plywood and zero VOC paint, to glass tiles made from recycled coke bottles. Additionally, products designed to be better for the planet often tend to be of a higher quality. When purchasing my materials, I support local businesses and prefer to not buy from large-scale superstores like home depot. I believe that building should be fun, beautiful, good for the planet, and support the local community. If you have any questions, please use the contact page.
On another note, ‘tiny houses’ are of great interest to me. I have yet to build one, but it is just a matter of time. When I begin the process I will be sure to upload plenty of pictures.
